Good News Stories 

The team wanted to share the good news stories that have occurred in the local area over the last two weeks, following the work the team has been doing. This is the work that the teams of Beckenham Town and Copers Cope, Clock House, Kelsey and Eden Park and Shortlands and Park Langley have been a part of.  

The teams have been organising and running an operation that has had a focus on Theft of/from Motor Vehicle and Burglary. The teams have had access to a variety of resources and split the operation between plain clothes and uniform proactive patrols to prevent the crimes taking place.

Some of the results that the team have had from this operation include: 

An arrest was made regarding Motor Vehicle crime, the male involved had been arrested for numerous counts of theft from motor vehicle, further investigations will take place, and the results will be announced following these. 

A stolen vehicle was being tracked from Beckenham by officers and was recovered in West Wickham, the vehicle was returned to its owner. 

A vehicle was seized in relation to ongoing investigations for Theft of/from Motor Vehicles. 

Numerous cloned/stolen number plates have been recovered, and multiple investigations are ongoing regarding this.

The team stopped several vehicles in relation to no insurance and no MOT, which were promptly delt with at the roadside. 

In addition to the great work done around Motor Vehicle crime, several knives and drugs were seized by local officers.  

After this week of action, we have seen a significant decrease in motor vehicle crimes, the work will be continued over the coming months.
